Student Affairs honors employees through Lucy Awards: UNM Newsroom

The UNM Department of Student Affairs recently announced the winners of the 2021 Lucy Awards at several virtual events. The third installment of the Lucy Awards took place both in person and on Zoom. Outstanding employees who contribute to the smooth running of the Student Affairs Division were recognized for their contributions.

The winners are:

  • Pack Leader: Pam Agoyo, Indian American Student Services The Leader of the Pack award is given to the director who consistently demonstrates exceptional leadership skills. The award reflects the director’s dedication to improving the morale of his employees by going above and beyond the call of duty.
  • Extraordinary Pack: Student Health and Counseling Clinical Services The Extraordinary Pack award is given to departments that demonstrate extraordinary integrity and generosity to their team members, leaders, and other departments. This team faces problems head-on with confidence and skill.
  • Star Lobo Student Leader: Vanisha Neva, Native American Student Services The Star Lobo Student Employee Award is for student employees who improve and take extra initiative in their work. These employees are the personnel who facilitate the functioning of the departments through their work ethic, professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Exemplary member of the pack: Tonia Trapp, Accessibility Resource Center The Exemplary Pack Member award is given to student affairs employees who exceed their abilities. These highly motivated employees who have taken on additional tasks and created new initiatives to ensure that their departments maintain productivity and efficiency.
