Terry Hogan to serve as UO’s acting vice president for student affairs
Ohio University President Hugh Sherman announced Friday that Terry Hogan will be the university’s new acting vice president for student affairs, effective Monday.
Hogan worked in the university’s student affairs division for nearly three decades, serving as senior associate vice president and dean of students before becoming dean emeritus of students, according to a university press release. He most recently served as vice president of student affairs at the University of Northern Iowa before retiring in 2016.
“Terry’s strong institutional knowledge and dedication to student life will serve OHIO well,” Sherman said in the statement. “I am confident he will provide unwavering leadership as he takes on this vital role.”
Sherman announced in December a search for the position after Jenny Hall-Jones, the current acting vice president of student affairs, announcement she would leave OU in late January to become vice president of student affairs at Grand Valley State University. Hall-Jones and Hogan will work together early in his term to “ensure a smooth leadership transition,” the statement said.
